New Water Source
This month at HBC they will finally have their own water source and will have free access to a bountiful supply of fresh, clean water! With their own water supply they will be saving approximately $375/month that they would have been spending on dirty water from the river brought to them on donkeys.
We want to dedicate this rich resource to the late Timothy Davis who is now present with the Lord and make this well a memorial to Timothy’s life of service to the needy in Kenya. This well will not only serve as a great resource of such a precious commodity, but also as a testimony to the life of a great individual who left behind a legacy of showing the love of Christ to the people of Kenya and many others.
Below is a little bit about Timothy Davis from his family along with some photos.
Timothy James Davis
On January 10, 2008, Timothy James Davis of New Castle, PA passed away after battling stomach cancer for four months. He was only 28 years old. But his 28 years were lived passionately serving Christ and loving others.
Tim was a graduate of Mohawk High School and Spring Arbor University. He was employed by University of Pittsburg Medical Center as a Marketing Director of Autism Research and was a licensed agent with AFLAC. Tim enjoyed traveling, photography, cars, playing the piano, playing tennis, riding and showing horses and spending time with his family. He was very involved with his church, Victory Christian Center, where he helped with the music ministry and with photography. Tim’s three trips to Kenya, Africa, sparked a love in his heart for the people of this nation and it is with great honor that his family and friends dedicate “Timothy’s Well” in loving memory of this outstanding young man.
Just four days before Tim passed away, while on a ventilator in ICU, he was able to communicate with one of his sisters by writing. Here is a portion of what he wrote: “Not over, yet! Not over, yet! And it will not [be over]. It shall be given back 10 fold what has been stolen from us…for what has been taken from me. It’s not been over. What the enemy has stolen from me will be returned 10 fold.”
It is his family’s prayer, that “Timothy’s Well” will not only provide life-giving water to many in the natural, but will also stand as a prophetic representation of Christ’s victory over death. Tim’s life is not over, yet, for “he who believes in Me will live, even though he dies.” John 11:25
